A Message From the Director

Hello there!

FullSizeRenderMy name is Adidi, I am the director and founder of Early Childhood Learning Academy. I live in the Cambrian area of San José with my husband and three children. I graduated from the University of Paris in 2004 with a Masters degree in Science. After that I  worked with children of all ages. In 2009 I got My Master Teacher Permit and a Director Permit in child development from California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I have had the pleasure of working in the early childhood field for over 15 years now, it is one of my greatest joys!

When I was planning and implementing this program in 2016, there was no question to me that a good preschool program would be a program that is well rounded that touches to all areas of development of a child. I designed this school with not only your children in mind but also with my own children in mind.

Research shows that the social and cognitive skills learned at an early age sets a pattern for acquiring important skills later in life. I believe that cognitive and social skills acquisition are important for our preschoolers, but I also believe that healthy eating, play, exercise and fitness, and having fun are equally important, and that is going to be reflected in our program.

The Association for Early Learning Leaders believes owners play a key role in shaping early care and education, and that program excellence begins with strong leadership. As the owner of the school, I am committed to ensuring the consistency and the quality of my program, my presence in the classroom, day in and day out, will strengthen the program by providing an ongoing training, supervision, guidance and support for the staff; and by making sure every child is treated with the utmost respect.

Above all, during these early years, I believe it is important to be sensitive to the children’s needs, to have their ideas heard, understood, and acted upon. Finding a balance between what’s best for the whole group versus taking time to attend to a specific need of one particular child can be challenging, but I have learned over my many years of experience, that to play the teaching role successfully, teachers have to remain sensitive to the needs of their students and stay aware of how their own responses affect their little hearts and little minds.

I hope that this message gives you peace of mind in knowing that you dropped off your child in the right place as you leave our school every day.

Thank you for your interest in Early Childhood Learning Academy, I am looking forward to providing a meaningful, challenging, educational, and exceptionally fun preschool experience for your child!

Sincerely,

Miss Adidi
