French
At ECLA, children are introduced to French naturally through songs, repetition, movement, and everyday words and expressions. Our goal is to make French fun and familiar while helping children develop an early ear for another language.
Songs & Music
Throughout the year, children learn and enjoy a collection of traditional French children’s songs. We introduce approximately 10 songs, including favorites such as Frère Jacques, Une Souris Verte, Alouette, and other simple songs chosen for their repetition, rhythm, and child-friendly vocabulary.

Children become familiar with common French color words through songs, games, art, and classroom activities:

Children also learn simple words and expressions they can use naturally throughout the day:

By hearing and using French regularly in a relaxed environment, children begin building listening skills, pronunciation, and curiosity about language and culture—all while having fun.
Music
Music runs through multiple times a day. We use it to teach numbers, phonics, and science, and we use it for the pleasure of singing and dancing together. It is also how the afternoon begins: music starts, children rise, and the room comes back to life.
Yoga
Daily yoga is offered as a complimentary enrichment at ECLA. Through simple poses, breathing, movement, and relaxation, children practice balance, body awareness, focus, calmness, and following directions.
Basketball with Rebound Basketball
Families may also choose to sign up for our weekly basketball program with Rebound Basketball and coach Steve, which comes directly to ECLA.
Community Playdate
On the first Saturday of every month, ECLA will host a community playdate where children can play, families can connect, and parents are welcome to join and spend time together. Our goal is to bring families together, and help build a strong and friendly community around our children. If for any reason we are unable to host the playdate on the first Saturday, we will let families know in advance and reschedule it for another Saturday that month.
