We implement a fun and stimulating curriculum that focuses on all areas of development of a child through structured and unstructured time. We offer a wide range of activities that include blocks, dramatic play, sensory play, art, and music. Our spacious playground entertains children for long periods of time with a play structure, sand and water play, trikes, playhouses, a garden and more.

At Early Childhood Learning Academy, we nurture children’s curiosity and we encourage them to explore their interests. Our daily schedule is flexible, teachable moments and children’s interests are expanded upon throughout the day.

The following are some highlights of our curriculum:

Outdoor Play

Outdoor play is a huge part of our curriculum. We are in the playground daily, for one hour in the morning and over one hour in the afternoon. Children get plenty of sunshine and excise that is necessary to their developing bodies, and explore different area of interests like sensory play, imaginative play, active play and an outdoor block area. Our playground is a happy place for our children where they enjoy paying, running and spending their excess energy, and where they are in close proximity with a garden which  they plant, water and take care of through out the year.

Early Literacy

We build early literacy skills by exposing children to books, stories, and a print rich environment. We integrate letters and sounds through music and play. We use puppets, characters, and games to teach children. We follow a predictable sequence and children progress at their own pace, all while having fun.

Early Math

Early mathematical concepts are introduced  through a multitude of fun activities. Some of the concepts our children are introduced to are numbers, quantity, shapes, measurement, patterns, comparison, and the calendar. The learning happens mostly through play, music and hands-on- activities.

Storytime

Storytime introduces children to books and early literacy skills they need to master before they learn to read, it’s a learning time that expands children’s imagination, builds their vocabulary, and enhances their attention span. 

Science/ Social Studies

Children are excited to learn about different subjects that are presented to them through weekly themes. We cover topics that are meaningful to the children like Community Helpers, Transportation, Gardening, Plants, Insects, Animals, Weather, Seasons, Outer Space, Holidays …etc. Science is a fun time for the children to discover, explore, and learn about the community and the world around them.

Arts and Crafts

We offer Arts and Craft on a daily basis. We use different mediums and materials and provide fun activities such as painting, coloring, drawing, tracing, cutting, folding, gluing, and much more. 

Music

Music is an integral component of our daily curriculum. It is present throughout the day and used in different subjects, such as learning numbers, phonics and science through music. As well as experience the joy of singing and dancing together.
