Toddler Program

Ages 2 to 3 Years. Gentle Beginnings

Our youngest learners are gently introduced to the rhythm of the school day through consistent routines, play, exploration, and warm teacher support. At this age, the focus is on feeling secure, learning to follow simple routines, and building social and communication skills in a caring environment.

Preschool Program

Ages 3 to 5 Years. Early Learning & Discovery

This is where project-based learning opens fully. Weekly themes carry through story time, art, math, and science, so ideas connect across the whole week, and week after week. French begins here. Show and Tell begins here. Children start grasping number sense, connecting letters to their sounds, and become confident communicators and problem solvers.

What You Will Experience at ECLA

Experienced, Consistent Teachers

Our experienced and consistent teaching team provides children with the stability, familiarity, and a strong sense of belonging. We work to get to know our families and build strong relationships and partnerships.

Play and Hands-On Learning

Learning and play are interconnected at ECLA, and children learn best by doing. Building, experimenting, creating, and exploring help develop curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.

Social-Emotional Growth

We help children learn to communicate, build friendships, express emotions, cooperate, solve conflicts, and develop confidence within their classroom community.

Early Literacy Skill Building

At ECLA children are immersed in a language-rich environment. They are introduced to phonics and phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and early writing through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Early Math Skill Building

Children build strong foundations in counting, number recognition, number sense, patterns, sorting, shapes, measurement, and early problem-solving through hands-on activities.

French Language Enrichment

French is introduced as part of the children’s daily experience through songs, greetings, vocabulary, stories, repetition, and simple conversation. Regular exposure helps children become comfortable hearing and using a second language in a natural and enjoyable way.

Yoga

Daily yoga helps our children calm down, move, focus, and regroup whenever they need to.

Arts, Crafts & Imaginative play

Our children enjoy daily opportunities for art, crafts, music, and imaginative play. These experiences encourage creativity, self-expression, fine-motor development while giving children the freedom to explore their own ideas.

Nature & Outdoor Exploration

Children spend meaningful time outdoors moving, touching and exploring different materials and investigating nature.

Self-Help & Life Skills

Our children are active participants in the classroom routines. They are encouraged to help and ask for help when they need it.

Summer

We are open year round.

Summer runs straight on from spring, on the same weekly theme calendar, and it is when the themes get livelier and more fun. Enrolled families keep their schedule through the summer. Families joining us for the summer are welcome, space permitting.
